Customer Support Email Bot v2 

This scenario requires a PAID subscription to Dante AI

They have a starter plan that starts at $10 per month! 

After you sign up you will be given access to the API documentation (if you need it) but you can generate an API key right away (log into Dante, click your profile name in the left-hand side-bar, and click profile. It will be there). 

You need to first create a knowledgebase in Dante. Dante makes this very simple, and they guide you through the process. It’s as easy as adding URLs and/or documents and clicking save.

The knowledgebase is your customer support agent. It should hold all of the pertinent information about your business so that it can answer questions intelligently. Once you have a knowledgebase in Dante, THIS is the bot that will be queried to answer customer support questions. 

Once you have a knowledgebase you need the knowledgebase ID for the scenario API calls. Just click the “share your chatbot” button and look at the resulting URL. 

The URL will look something like this. The string of text you need is the “kb_id” which are all the characters between the = sign after kb_id and the & sign before modeltype.

NOW we can get into the scenario. 

The first module watches for emails to a specific gmail or gsuite account. If you run a business, it is advised to have a gsuite account so that you can run all of your emails through gmail (though you can also use Microsoft Outlook if you enjoy pain). 

If you are like me, you have a gsuite account with multiple aliases. For this reason I have included a filter after the trigger scenario to filter only emails to a customer support email. You can remove this if all emails coming to that account are customer support emails. 

Otherwise, be sure to input your customer support email address in the filter. The next three modules are the Dante AI API calls. 

The first one “creates a conversation” which just sort of initializes the system to prepare for an incoming query. It is also where the knowledgebase ID (kb_id) needs to be input (along with the API key).

The next module sends the query to the knowledgebase you created. The prompt is very simple. Feel free to modify it to better suit your needs. 

(This API call needs an API key as well).

*PRO TIP you should “train” your knowledgebase bot to be a customer support agent. Do this in the Dante interface under the System Prompt (found when you click “Customize your bot”. 

The next module simply grabs the whole response in an easy to read format. (Again, you’ll need to input the API key). 

The final module sends the reply from the Dante Knowledgebase bot back to the customer. 

Remember, the power of this scenario comes from your knowledgebase on Dante. It acts as the brain of your bot. This scenario simply enables you to access it through email.
